Karama’s Rescue

Starting in January 2012, we are going to be hosting adoption events the first weekend of every month! We are also going to continue keeping a rolling tab of the number of animals that find new homes.

Are you looking for a cat to adopt? You may check out the Hope Cats who were rescued from a hoarding situation in North KC. They are rehabilitated and ready for new homes! You can see the available kitties and read all about the rescue effort on their facebook page HERE.

Give a good home to a Rescued Dog or Cat!
If you are an experienced dog owner and do not need the predictability of size, temperament, and personality that you can get from a purebred puppy, please consider adopting a homeless pet from a shelter. Animal shelters, rescue groups, and foster organizations are completely overwhelmed with pets who need help from someone who can provide a home for them, often times when they have never known a loving relationship from a person. Plus, you will probably be able to find a dog that is full-grown (past the “puppy stage”) and possibly house-broken and trained at basic commands! If you feel capable of helping one (or more!) of these deserving animals, visit this Petfinder.com link to browse rescue organizations in this area.

My daughters and I enjoyed coming into CIty Pets this summer while we were visiting family in KC, and they are now loyal California-based browsers of your website. They love seeing the pictures of the puppies they played with in August, and are especially excited to see them get adopted. They are also thrilled to see the pictures of the new puppies, and keep asking when we can go to Kansas City to adopt one! They were completely enamored of CLark, but would love to go back for Amy,or Kirk. :-) Thank you for a great website and for running such a great, family and pet focused business!

just wanted to stop in to let you know that willow our sheltie baby girl(well not so much a baby anymore) is doing well in our new olathe neighborhood. she has made friends with a great dane and an american bulldog on the other side of the fence. as soon as i figure out how to get pics from my phone to the computer ill send em to ya. its hilarious to watch these three play. her new friends walk over the fence and crawl on thier bellies to be eye too eye with willow lol. will bring her in soon for a visit. is that lil sheltie boy cutie still availble?

Hi Kelly! I don’t know if Sara has gotten a hold of you yet, but our sheltie, Buster, is still waiting for his new home!! I know you were looking for another sheltie (at one point), and this little dude would be great with Willow!! Stop in and visit him sometime :)
