City Pets and Ponds

Here at City Pets and Ponds, we are very proud of our puppies. All of our puppies come from reputable local breeders and have been vet-checked at least twice before we receive them. We do not deal with unscrupulous breeders, “puppy mills,” or puppy brokers. Most of our puppies come to us with purebred registry papers and many of our pups are already micro-chipped for identification!

All City Pets puppies are given the best care while they are with us. Puppies are fed Nutro Natural Choice Small Bites for puppies twice a day (special diets for puppies are certainly accommodated!). Their kennels are disinfected twice daily and cleaned as-needed throughout the day. Water is delivered in water bottles with licker tubes so that no puppy can spill or contaminate their drinking water. We have a playpen in the store and all puppies take turns exercising and socializing all day long! To encourage proper socialization, puppies take turns being with other puppies and by themselves. They all receive individual attention and affection, as well as standard grooming procedures like baths, toenail trims, and ear-cleanings. All puppies are vaccinated on a routine basis and visit the vet whenever appropriate. Fully vaccinated puppies are taken on walks in the park when the weather is nice. :)

We send them home with a great care package, too! All of our puppies are up-to-date on their puppy shot series and receive a free vet check up from Kansas City Vet Care. All puppies also come with a limited 10-year health warranty, a free 5-lb bag of puppy food, and a discount on puppy supplies (ask about Kennel Kits)!

Aww man! Shih-tzus are so great. :) I love these little guys. Kirk is a puppy from the store owners’ own brother! He has some quality parents that produce some quality pups and we love to have them in the store. Kirk is APRI registered, up-to-date on shots and wormings and cuter than you could ask him to be! He weighs 8 and one half pounds. He is a feisty little man and no puppy to be trifled with! He is bold and brave! I think it is just a front, though, because when sitting in a lap is an option, Kirk will participate 100%! He is snuggly when the situation calls for it. :)

Georgie Porgie is just ridiculous. He is an orange sable Pom with the cutest, silliest darn face you’ve ever seen. He weighs 4 and one half pounds, is AKC registered, micro-chipped and up-to-date on shots and wormings. Georgie was born June 29th. George is very sweet and eager to share his affections. He loves to play with the other puppies, but his heart is really with the people who come to visit him. You should come see him today!

Wow! What sweet little pansy faces! I think these are among the prettiest little dogs I have ever seen! You’ve got to see these darlings!

Tri-color girl was born July 1st. She is APRI registered and up-to-date on all shots and wormings. Frannie is a tiny girl and weighs just 3 and one half pounds. She is very friendly and happy! Fran is a playful girl and very feisty and rambunctious for her size. She is still a dainty lady, though and needs to be treated with care! Come see this little princess today!

The lemon and white girl was born June 28th. She is AKC registered and up-to-date on all shots and wormings. She weighs 4 and a half pounds. She is a sweet girl and seems shy and precious. :) She has an adorable face with liver-colored features, and it seems like her tongue is always sticking out just a little bit. I’ve never seen a puppy be so precious! (Besides my own, of course!)

Charlie the Puggle is 8 and one half pounds, ICA registered, and up-to-date on all shots and wormings. This boy is SO roly poly and sweet! I just want to give him big, squishy hugs! Charlie seems to be VERY smart and attentive. He has a great voice, too! Charlie is the package deal: Smart, playful, rugged, and adorable. Puggle pups are pretty darn near the top of my list for best puppies ever. :)

Look at these guys! These are the most precious Dachshunds I have ever met! I love these guys!

Tennessee is a beautiful long-haired chocolate and tan miniature Dachshund. He is AKC registered and weighs just 3 and one half pounds! He was born August 21st and is up-t0-date on all of his shots and wormings. Tennessee is such a gorgeous, sweet little dog! He is just perfect in every way, and I have never seen such a beautiful, shiny, curly coat like his! He is a doll!

Kentucky is the definition of adorable. He has a cute little face and fuzzy fur. :) Ken is AKC registered chocolate and tan mini dachshund. He is up-to-date on all of his shots and wormings. He was born August 21st and currently weighs just 3 pounds! He has a wonderful personality and will walk right up to you and roll over for belly rubs. He has a GREAT temperament and is as cute as they come. :)

Magnum is a tri-color Chihuahua. He is micro-chipped, APRI registered, up-to-date on all shots and wormings, and currently weighs 2 pounds! Magnum was born August 24th. He has the most adorable short fat legs, and a sweet little blunt muzzle to go along with his round head. :) He has beautiful tall ears and a perfect curled tail. He really is a cute little Chihuahua! He has a great personality to go along with his good looks, and he is not fearful or headstrong. He is a great little guy. Come see Magnum today!

Ruger is a tall, thin Chihuahua boy! He has beautiful fawn and white colors. Ruger is micro-chipped, APRI registered, up-to-date on shots and wormings, and currently weighs 2 pounds! He was born August 24th. Ruger is a beautiful dog with very nice proportions. His cute little curled tail is solid white and he has a pretty white blaze and a white collar. Suzuki is a black and white female Shih-tzu. She is APRI registered and was born August 29th. Suzuki is up-to-date on all shots and wormings and currently weighs 2 and three quarters pounds. Mini Pins, of course, are in no way related to Dobermans, but they have tenacity to spare! Animal shelters, rescue groups, and foster organizations are completely overwhelmed with pets who need help from someone who can provide a home for them, often times when they have never known a loving relationship from a person. Plus, you will probably be able to find a dog that is full-grown (past the “puppy stage”) and possibly house-broken and trained at basic commands!
