Nice to see a pet store carrying rats that aren’t strictly bred for snake food. As soon as you have some young males, I’ll be there to snatch them up.

    Wow, that sounded really creepy.

Our pet rats are selected for temperament and appearance, and males are separated from females before any debauchery can occur! The males we have now are around 8-12 weeks old, so they may be a little older than you like! We have new batches of babies all the time, so check back with us!

Nice! I’m subscribed so just let me know when you get some in and I’ll be there. I’m partial to dumbos but as long as they’re healthy with good temprament, I don’t really care.

Strange how all the KC ratteries have gone dormant…

Hey, this is Steven and Jessica, we frequent your store often. We bought our 2 guinea pigs Han and Chewie from you guys in 2008 and now come in every so often to get them their food and hay. I wondering if you had any information about a place to have our pigs over the holidays. We are going home for christmas and that means going on a plane and our pigs cannot come. Do you know of any places that would board our pigs for a couple of weeks over christmas?

Hello there! I would first check with your veterinarian. KC Vet Care, for one, does board dogs, cats and birds, and I would not be surprised to hear they board other small animals as well. Give them a call! You may also opt to leave your piggies at home and have a professional pet sitter care for them in a familiar environment. We recommend Metro Paws KC (www.metropawskc.com). They offer pet sitting services for all types of animals! This may be the least stressful option for your Guinea Pigs and it is very affordable. Good luck with your decision!

I already have five ratties. We are planning a vacation, and I am looking for affordable boarding. Any suggestions? We’d provide the food, cage, and bedding. I would like someone experienced w/ pet rats.

Unsure about rat boarding. Is there a friend or family member maybe that could help you? If not, I would ask your vet. Many of them have connections to kennels/boarding facilities. Other than that, you may also try Bingo’s Pet Care. I know she takes care of reptiles as well as cats and dogs. Maybe she helps out with rodents too! Good luck!

We recently picked up one of the dumbo male babies you had and I can tell you that he is the CUTEST little guy ever. Very sweet and has acclimated really well with our other rat. Those ears! Awww.
