Even more baby corns! and other herps…

Nine babies came out of our first clutch, and I haven’t even counted these new babies. :) Check it out! We opened the incubator at just the right time! Some babies were already out, but this egg had just been pipped! Look at the little gooey baby inside. ^_^ Even baby snakes are cute!

Plus, here’s a couple of cuties. This is a White’s Treefrog, also known as a Dumpy Frog. :) He is kinda dumpy and frumpy, isn’t he?

And this is a Mountain Horned Lizard! These guys are really cool. They are not terribly tame lizards, but easy to take care of and do not get very large. This guy is funny because he always closes his eyes are looks very relaxed whenever I mist his enclosure. :) I like this little tropical lizard very much.

Big Remodel: New floors!!

If you stop by the store and see a huge mess, don’t worry! City Pets is not going anywhere. We’re just getting some shiny new vinyl tile floors! When we’re all done, the shop will look brand new, and will be much easier for us to keep clean. :) We’re also moving the front counter and expanding our selection of dog and cat foods! We’re excited about the changes! I will post photos as I get them uploaded.

We will be open through-out our re-flooring for our normal hours, but expect a little mess!

Butters is not your average Shih-tzu!

And he does not get the average Shih-tzu hair cut, either! Butters is always getting something awesome done with his ‘do, and he is such a crazy, happy, silly dog, we are always thrilled to see him.

Today his owners had our groomer, Kelly, give him a sweet trim. She left his tail natural, boots on his back feet, a lion’s mane, and a long long beard! He looked totally sweet! Check him out!

What a guy! I love that Butters!

Bella the Dachshund Visits!

Look at this pretty girl!

Little Bella was known as Rain here at the store, and this little wild-boar colored beauty was not here for long! I hardly recognized her, she had gotten so big and grown out her hair. :) Bella came in with her new brother to pick out new harnesses and a cool double dog-walker so they could have lots of fun together. :D Dachshunds are best in pairs!

Puppies go home! Cavalier and Dachshund

Oh these babes. I always think, “We’ve never had any cuter puppies than we do right now!” and it is always true. :) I sure do love ‘em. Other folks love ‘em, too! These people loved these puppies enough to take one home! Check them out!

What a couple of cuties. :) This fella walked in and told me, “I want a puppy!” Well. I can help a person with that! He picked out our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, who we call Leia, and took her home right away. I think they’re probably having a wonderful life. :) I hope they visit! She is such a sweet girl.

And our boy Boise has found a home, too. :) This little girl has got to be the happiest kid in the city! Nobody doesn’t like a new puppy. :) She said she was thinking of naming him Max, and we had a good time picking out a cool collar and leash for him! I bet they will be best friends forever!

Dachshund, Pomeranian go home!

Hooray! Two pups in one day!

Our little lady Dachshund found a home today. This beautiful dappled girl is going to a home with another mini dachshund. Just ask anyone… They are better in pairs!

What an adorable bunch! I hope they bring them in together some day. :)

AND Our little Pommie guy, Chancho found a home, too! Now his name is Bowie. :) Keep an eye out for him sooner than later, because he is moving to Texas next month! Look at him in his little tuxedo! He’s all decked out for his big day!

We’ve got lots of other precious pups here, though, including Ithaca’s beautiful brother! Come see our little doggies today!

Tiny Toy Girl already home!

Sweet! One of our sweet little Toy Poodles has already found a home! We just got this little lady on Thursday! I am happy to see her go home so quickly, and I hope that someone discovers her sweet, sweet sister, too! She is waiting at the store, a perfect best friend. :)

Congratulations, you guys! Let us know if you need any puppy guidance. ^_^ (That goes for YOU, too!)

Puppies go home!

There they go again! This time our little Yorkie dude, Sloth found his home. He has a great new family, including a super adorable big brother named Oliver. :) I couldn’t ask for a better place for Sloth!

AND, some lucky guy came in and bought both of our Italian Greyhounds! Mauricio and Giovanni are now Bruno and Rocko, and I can’t even imagine the kind of fun that group is having. Those guys were a HOOT! and I miss playing with them here in the store! I hope they come back to visit soon. :)

Fannie’s trying another color…

What a daring dog! My Pomeranian, Fannie, looks fabulous in color. She was purple for Easter, and she got a trim and a sizzling new splash of red for this killer heat! It turned out to look like some intense shade of hot pink on her yellowish fur, but I think she looks adorable.

We just put the dye on the end-half of her tail, her four little feet, and her ears (including her lengthy, naturally crimped fly-aways!). She was meant to look foxy, but she looks cute in any case, for sure!

Ton-ton goes home!

So I am a little behind! Ton-ton the Pom found a great home recently! Her new parents were both getting something special for themselves. Dad got a new iPhone, and Mom got a puppy! I certainly know who I think got the better deal! That puppy will be years and years of renewable joy. No upgrades needed for puppies. ;) What a lucky lady!
