Tarantula News!

April 1, 2008 at 7:20 pm

That’s what I said! We have the cuties and the creepy-crawlies, too!

This beautiful Mexican red-leg tarantula is named Blaze!

She has already found a great home, but you can visit another red-leg and a few Fort Hall baboon spiders in our Reptile Department!

If you have any questions about what it’s like to keep tarantulas as pets, and if they are a good match for you, feel free to come by the store and check them out. We will be happy to answer any questions for you!

Now at City Pets: Dubia roaches. These are a great alternative to crickets or worms as a protein source for reptiles. We have assorted sizes and they are 50¢ each or 12/$5.00 Fire bellied toads in this week too. Got some great looking lionhead goldfish in too. These little guys are called American or Florida flag fish. It is in the killifish family and loves to eat hair algae.
