    Yay City Pets!
i already come in from time to time for crickets & mealworms to supplement my leopard & crested geckos, but am getting a corn snake soon. just wondering what your prices are on frozen mice & the quantity that you generally sell them? thanks-

We do sell frozen mice and they are priced the same as our live mice. So: Pinkies $1.29, Fuzzies $1.49, Hoppers $1.69, Adults $1.98 and Jumbos $2.19. If you want to buy in bulk (we usually sell them singly) we could work out a discounted price for you.

I need to know prices on live crickets, mealworms and gecko lizards. Looking for a male gecko for my female albino gecko.

    • 4. liz largent  |  July 9, 2012 at 8:56 am

Crickets are $1.00/dozen. We have small (1/4″), medium (3/8″) and large (5/8′). Mealworms come in a 50 count cup and are $2.49. Giantworms come in a 35 count cup and are $2.98. Superworms come in a 50 count cup and are $5.98.

As far as geckos go it really varies. There are so many different color morphs available for purchase now. So between all the different sizes and color options prices vary greatly. I would say anywhere from $49.98-$149.98 would be a safe range. If you got a baby normal gecko, they are pretty inexpensive but if you got, say, a breeding age carrot tail gecko they are going to be much more expensive.

Feel free to give us a call (816-561-7387) or come by the store and we can get you on the special order list for a gecko!

    hi this is julian
i was wondering if leopard geckos could eat dubia roaches because
i am currently breeding them and this will cut my cricket bill down

Yes, your adult leopard geckos can eat Dubai Roaches. However, when you feed roaches you want to make sure your lizards are still regularly going to the bathroom. The thicker shells/hulls to the roaches could occasionally constipate them, but they are a great source of protein and fat for your geckos!

I’ve been getting crickets here for than 5 years . These are the healthiest crickets we had and their parasitic free.

Do you not carry live rat pups anymore? Every time I call to see if you have them I’m told you only have frozen.

    • 13. liz largent  |  December 18, 2013 at 5:39 pm

We do occasionally. We only have live rat pups when they are born in the store since our rat supplier does not offer them currently. We had a couple rat litters born this last week, so they will be pup sized in a week or two.
