Do you keep a steady supply of red belly piranhas? Do you guys run out pretty often?

    • 2. liz largent  |  August 18, 2011 at 8:28 pm

The red bellies that we have are adults. They are really nice looking fish! We don’t often have babies- but we keep trying. Feel free to check back often, we do a fish order every 2-3 weeks.

    Liz,

I just wanted to say thank you for calling me before placing your two most recent fish orders. Having the opportunity to purchase any species available versus only what the average fish shoppe has available in their tanks has made you my pet store of choice.

Also compared to any other retailer in KC city pets has the healthiest fish.

Hey there! This is an amazing website! We’ve always tried to come by your store but haven’t been able to make it before you close yet. :(
Do you ever get any bristlenose plecos? I don’t care what size/color/gender it is, I just want one or a few that aren’t more than $5… Is that possible?

    • 14. liz largent  |  May 10, 2012 at 12:05 pm

It may be possible- give the store a call and we will get you on the special order list and get some price quotes for ya! They will be pretty small at that price, but we will see what we can do!

Do you carry the fish medication called Prazipro or perhaps another product with Prazi in it?? I have a stubborn gill fluke problem and I am tired of beating them back with formalin only to have them reappear. I have tanks, not a pond but I would like to have it quickly and would buy a large quantity if I had to. Thanks!

    • 18. liz largent  |  June 11, 2012 at 8:20 am

I do not carry PraziPro, but I have an aquarium medication by API called General Cure. It comes in a pack with 10 packets and the active ingredient breakdown is as follows: “250mg Metronidazole and 75mg Praziquantel per packet.” We keep General Cure in stock and please feel free to come by or call if you have any more questions.

  • 19. jessica  |  May 27, 2012 at 12:44 pm

  • 21. Cam  |  June 11, 2012 at 6:32 pm

    Do you carry rope fish?

    • 22. liz largent  |  June 13, 2012 at 8:10 am

We have had ropefish in the past, but have pretty much gone to special ordering them for people because of their nasty habit of escaping down into our sumps! We would be more than happy to get some in for you though.

  • 23. Cam  |  June 14, 2012 at 11:53 am

Are you guys able to order Caribe Piranha?

    • 24. liz largent  |  June 17, 2012 at 2:06 pm

Piranha are difficult to get right now. They are considered an invasive species in most of the US, but especially in the south and the southern parts of the east and west coasts. This is where most fish suppliers (including ours) are located, and if they are located in said areas it is actually illegal for them to sell piranha at all. Unless we find a local breeder or a northern supplier, I am afraid piranhas are a no-go.

Are you guys able to order a chinese high fin banded shark?

    • 26. liz largent  |  July 30, 2012 at 8:12 am

If they are on the availability list, yet. We have ordered them in the past.

  • 27. Danah  |  September 6, 2012 at 6:25 pm

I was wondering if it’s possible for you guys to order some celestial pearl danios?

    • 28. Danah  |  September 6, 2012 at 6:30 pm

And also, I bought some mollies about 5 days ago, I realised that they aren’t suitable for my tank, I feel horrible (I’m a beginner), can you take them? I don’t want to bring them back to petsmart because God knows what they might do to them.

  • 31. James  |  September 12, 2012 at 2:00 am

Large Male Managuense cichlid for sale, The fish is about 13 inch’s long. Do you guy’s trade for credit or buy Jags?

    • 32. liz largent  |  September 13, 2012 at 8:14 am

We do often offer store credit for large fish. I do not, however, have room for another Managuense at the moment. I have three large adults (mixed genders) in my 180gallon tank here at the store. After we sell those, we would be more than happy to trade.
