Puppies go home!

There they go again! This time our little Yorkie dude, Sloth found his home. He has a great new family, including a super adorable big brother named Oliver. :) I couldn’t ask for a better place for Sloth!

AND, some lucky guy came in and bought both of our Italian Greyhounds! Mauricio and Giovanni are now Bruno and Rocko, and I can’t even imagine the kind of fun that group is having. Those guys were a HOOT! and I miss playing with them here in the store! I hope they come back to visit soon. :)

I can’t wait to post more happy home-goings, so come on in to the store today and check out all of our sweet babies, just waiting for a home with you!

Yorkie-Poo goes home!

Well, a lot of folks had been looking forward to meeting this little girl, but wouldn’t you know it, she just got swooped right up! That is the way it happens sometimes. A family comes in to look for a puppy and they find just the right one. It was meant to be! This family found their perfect puppy just this evening! We are so happy for them!

Aren’t they all adorable! You can hardly see that little pup against her black t-shirt! :)

And, in a funny coincidence, I met them this evening in the park while I was walking my own dogs! They were already out showing their new pup the world. :) I love meeting “my puppies” and their new families out in the world… It makes me happy to see them in their new life!

Maybe we will see you later, too!

Yorkie goes home!

Look at this happy pair! Who is more pleased? The pup or the new owner? :) I think they are both quite happy to have one another…

This is her first pup and I’m sure she is going to have a lot of fun AND a lot of challenges and questions! If you have any questions about your puppy or dog and would like some advice, please feel free to call the store and ask any of our knowledgable staff for tips, tricks, or just reassurance. :) We would love to help you.

Yorkie-Poos go home… Together!

How wonderful! Here at City Pets we LOVE it when two puppies (who really get along!) get to go home together! Our sweet little tiny baby Yorkie-Poos got that opportunity today!

Their new owner left her two cats with her Mom for three weeks while she was out of town on business. When she came back, her Mom had decided to keep her two cats! She decided she needed to fill that lovin’ space up with a couple of sweet little puppies. What a good choice. :)

I hope they come back to visit soon!!

Puppies Go Home!

MAN, have we got some cute puppies! Apparently the word is spreading, too, because we’ve sent some little darlings home recently. :)

Check out Pierre, the Bichon Frisé/Poodle mix. Pierre is a real mellow guy and gets along with everyone. Being a Bichon/Poodle mix also makes Pierre the perfect dog for his new owner, since she has dog allergies. Bichons, Poodles, Shih-tzus, Schnauzers, and Yorkies are all great choices for people with dog allergies because they have hair-like fur that does not trap dander as severely as more fluffy dogs, like Pomeranians, Chihuahuas, or Labradors. Of course, Pierre has a lot more going for him than being hypoallergenic, which is why we fell in love with him in the first place. ;)

Here is Sadie and her new best friends! These little girls pooled together their money so that they could take Sadie home to be their very own puppy. :) Sadie was a sweet, playful little girl Puggle (Pug/Beagle mix) and I’m sure these three are having tons of fun!

And finally, last but not least, Madeline the Morkie (Maltese/Yorkie mix) finally found a great home with a lady who also owns another of our great dogs. :) Madeline’s new mommy bought her all the good stuff whenever she picked her up, so I know she is having an exciting time in her new home. Madison’s First Birthday!

Madison the Yorkie had her first birthday recently, and we were glad to be part of the fun! Michelle baked a delicious doggy birthday cake and brought a special visitor, our little boy Cavalier King Charles Spaniel! She also took some pictures of the fun!

Our Cavalier was a special guest, and he loved the treats and company! Maybe Madison made a special birthday wish for him, because this pup found himself a permanent home just a day or two after the party! His name is Wrigley… Look for his home-going picture on later posts!

A.P.B – All Puppy Bulletin!

Just a reminder for those of you who may not be aware:

City Pets has the cutest puppies!

And not only are our puppies cute, but they all come from local, home-grown breeders, just like you would buy a puppy from! City Pets loves puppies too much to deal with puppy mills or puppy brokers, who do not care about quality dogs or finding them good homes. And even after selecting the best puppies from the best breeders, we take great care in keeping our puppies healthy and happy in our bright, clean kennels, and everyone gets plenty of playtime, exercise, and social interaction!

Check out our black-and-tan dapple Dachshund! She’s a real charmer and will steal your heart, but what she loves to do most is play and explore!

The Border Collies are ready for action, but are still oh-so-cuddly and love being held. Here are the brother and sister pair keeping their eyes on a balloon!

Our pair of brindle-and-white Shih-tzus are super feisty and will have you laughing in no time! These two are having a blast in the playpen! Check out the little sister. She is sweet and petite!

The Miniature Pinschers are my personal favorite. These two sisters have personality and energy to spare and boy are they inquisitive! Ask to see these two in action when you stop by!

The Puggles are a hit with everybody! You couldn’t possibly resist such a cute face and their clumsy antics are totally endearing. A popular pair!

Our red-and-white Shih-tzu is painfully camera-shy, but don’t let his coy photo fool you! He is all about falling in love, and you will be, too! Just stop by and pay him a visit!

Our newest arrivals are a trio of Cairn Terriers! These little roly-poly babies are sweet-as-can-be and are full of puppy playfulness and curiosity. Plus, they have the cutest little barks!

And today we said good-bye to our beautiful Yorkshire Terriers! This brother-sister pair went to a good home together! We know the new family must be having a wonderful night together.

I can’t say it enough: Our puppies are the best!

Plus, City Pets endorses responsible pet ownership and works with the Kansas City Spay and Neuter organization in encouraging pet owners to have their pets spayed at neutered. City Pets also encourages the use of our new Community Board for the posting of pets looking for new homes!
